EPISODE 1 – RIGEL
Rigel, the city that hosts the stories of the protagonists, in an unspecified future is the seventh brightest city on the planet, led by the positronic brain “Synthos” in the heart of its tallest skyscraper.
In the center, affluent people serenely accept the city’s leadership, celebrating the positronic brain as a deity; in the suburbs, called “Techgrave,” however, it maintains anarchist traditions, black markets, and illegal body-grafting laboratories inherited from ancient conflicts. Despite being very methodically led by “Synthos,” the city is constantly plunged into chaos because of conflicts that show no sign of ending.
EPISODE 2 – MAYA
– “Has anyone seen my Allen wrench?”(Maya) A mechanic, a scientist? Nah… what matters is creating, he always says. She invented the first prototype of her time machine when she was only twenty-two, and her mechanical arm when she was eight, a decidedly out-of-the-ordinary girl. Maya’s greatest desire is to make the world a better place, even though she often ends up only making trouble with her inventions. – “With numbers you don’t mess around!” Passionate about graphs and statistics, Maya spends most of her time in the lab doing calculations, trying to solve problems, or inventing new contraptions. But all that glitters is not gold, Lucas, his best friend, would say. Maya lost her older brother when she was still a child; in fact, the main purpose of her time machine is to take her to meet him to get advice when she finds herself in trouble and to spend time with him.
